Grabbed some Mexican food and now we're back at home. Isn't blogging fun?



Last night I replaced the lamp in my right headlight. Was a challenge removing the bumper, but saved myself a ton since the lamp cost $8 and doubtless the labor would have been around $50.

The balding process has begun

Startin' a blog to keep people up to date on our lives, since we're so darn interesting.


As you can see from this photo, the hair loss has begun for me. (See forehead, center area). I attribute it to being woken up at 5am by Simon every day.

In other news, Patty ate a clementine.

We have finally taught Simon to make a fire unsupervised (see below).

If you haven't heard, Patty and I are engaged, which means we plan to get married. The date is January 26th, 2008, and that's quite soon because we don't like to dawdle. Only immediate family (with a few exceptions) are invited since we be poor and we like things manageable.

Things we've done recently

• chop wood for the fireplace
• make a tile mirror thing (pictured)
• visit IKEA in search of king size bed
• go to Aaron's wedding (pictured)
• clean the house
• have Uncle John over for Thanksgiving
• get punched by Patty (mike)
• Punch Mike (patty)
• chop up some tree limbs (pictured from backyard)
• start a blog
